This course is designed for those who want to start using WordPress ether for creating a website or a blog, and it gives the learners the basic introduction in WordPress functionality and features.
WordPress is, by far, the most popular open source Content Management System (CMS), used by approximately 75 million websites. WordPress is free to install, deploy, and upgrade. Thousands of plugins and templates power a flexible and straightforward interface, which reduces development costs and deployment time.
Either if you want to create your website or your blog, writing about whatever you want to write, this course will help you to install and use the WordPress approximately as good as a professional. You will learn in a professional environment from people not just with experience in education and training, but with substantial experience in using WordPress.
To attend this course, you will need to have a minimum knowledge of using a computer/laptop and internet.
The course is structured in 3 sessions of 3 hours, and it combines the learning with practice.
At the end of the course, learners will or will be able to:
- Have a confident understanding of what WordPress is and how it works.
- Understand the architecture of WordPress
- Create a WordPress website/blog, create and edit pages, posts, menus, customise a theme and many other necessary things.
This is not a qualification; thus, a learning assessment will not be necessary to take place. However, you will be assessed during the course workshops and exercises, and at the end of the course, if the tutor decides that you achieved all the learning outcomes, you will receive a Certificate of Attendance.
