WHO IS THE COURSE DESIGNED FOR
This course is designed for those who want to start using Microsoft Excel. It is an introductory course for complete beginners to Microsoft Excel.
Microsoft Excel is a part of Microsoft Office applications and is well known that Excel is essential for any business. When effectively applied it is a powerful tool, allowing user to manipulate vast amounts of data, automate tasks and present complex information however they see fit.
It is not a complicated program to use, and if you are learning to use it in a professional environment, it will be a pleasure to discover how to work with tables, formulas, data and other functions which will bring your ICT skills to the next level.
This is an introductory course and thus will help you to understand how Microsoft Excel works and how to perform basic operations. For you to make the best of this course, you need to have a basic knowledge of using a computer.
The course is structured in 7 sessions of 3 hours, and it combines learning with practice.
At the end of the course, learners will be able to:
- Have a basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel basics
- Feel more confident using Excel and be able to use it as a beginner level
- Identify the different components of the Excel worksheet
- Indicate the names and functions of the Excel interface components, enter and edit data, format data and cells, construct formulas and preview and print the worksheet
- Prepare to enrol in an ICT qualification
This is not a qualification; thus, a learning assessment will not be necessary to take place. However, you will be assessed during the course workshops and exercises, and at the end of the course, if the tutor decides that you achieved all the learning outcomes, you will receive a Certificate of Attendance.
