WHO IS THE COURSE DESIGNED FOR
This course provides a comprehensive set of practical skills needed by a laic person (non-healthcare professional) to become confident in administering first aid in certain situations, giving both the ability and knowledge to deal with first aid emergencies from basic life support perspective.
Learn CPR and Basic life support and make your mark on someone’s life. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) can help a person who has stopped breathing, and whose heart may have stopped beating, to quite simply stay alive.
CPR is known to buy crucial extra minutes which can ultimately keep a victim in a state of potential successful resuscitation until paramedics arrive. This course covers Basic Life Support skills for adults.
The course materials and assessment are developed by qualified first aid professionals and accredited by CPD. It also complies with the latest European Resuscitation Council (ERC) and UK Resuscitation Council guidelines for 2015.
For workplaces with significant health and safety risks, a formally trained first-aider may be required. The company’s risk assessment will determine the level and type of training that is appropriate.
To become a qualified first-aider you will need to undertake training in the workplace first aid that includes at least 18 training hours and assessment contact hours. You can choose one of our First Aid qualifications.
After the course completion, learners will receive a certificate to prove that they attended the course and passed the final examination. This certificate does not have an expiry date. However, based on industry best practice guidelines, the recommended renewal period for this training is one year. The renewal date will be printed on your certificate.
